6 top tips to be organised from the UCAN blog - 12 Week UCAN Organising Challenge

The 12-Week UCAN Organising Challenge is now over and it is our hope that you have decluttered and organised your entire home and you're ready to enjoy the festive season with your loved ones.

But before we call it a 'wrap' on the challenge, we want to remind you of our top 6 rules to be, and stay, organised.

Use a Planner or Calendar:

Invest in a planner or use a digital calendar to keep track of appointments, deadlines, and tasks. Schedule regular check-ins to review and update your plans.

Create To-Do Lists:

Break down your tasks into manageable to-do lists. Prioritise tasks based on urgency and importance, and check them off as you complete them. This helps you stay focused and organised throughout the day.

Declutter Regularly:

Take time to declutter both your physical and digital spaces. Get rid of unnecessary items and organise your belongings in a way that makes them easily accessible. A clutter-free environment promotes a clear mind.

Establish Routines:

Develop daily and weekly routines to create structure in your life. Routines help automate tasks and reduce decision fatigue, making it easier to stay organized and on track.

Use Organisational Tools:

Take advantage of organisational tools and apps. Project management tools, note-taking apps, and task management platforms can help streamline your workflow and keep important information in one place.

Set Realistic Goals:

Set realistic and achievable goals for yourself. Break larger goals into smaller, actionable steps. This not only helps in staying organised but also provides a sense of accomplishment as you make progress.

REMINDER

Proactively maintaining your organisational systems and spaces is key. The best way to do this is by putting in place SCHEDULED times, be that daily, weekly, monthly or seasonally. Ultimately, it stands to reason that the more frequently you schedule these maintenance sessions, the more proactive you’ll be.
